The Sanchez Family- Giving Back
Feb 04, 2015
The Sanchez family are a glowing example of giving back to your community.
"We volunteer as a family because we enjoy helping others. When we moved to Canada, we appreciated how much help we received, and now we want to give back."
Noe, Elizabeth, and their children Cyntia and Adan, moved here in 2008, and since then have volunteered with a variety of organizations, such as Central Alberta Refugee Effort (C.A.R.E.), Golden Circle, Red Deer Regional Hospital, as well as at a wide array of events including Festival of Trees, Volunteer Recognition Day, Mother Language Day, and Christmas parties.
The volunteer managers of C.A.R.E. find that Noe's culinary and carpentry skills, coupled with Elizabeth's party decor training, have made their contributions to C.A.R.E. festivities invaluable.
When asked why others should consider volunteering, the Sanchez family reiterated, "to give back to the community."
